Feeling Lucky for 10 Years
It’s no secret that Hilton Head Island is a golfer’s dream destination and that the three championship golf courses at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort have kept guests coming back again and again for years. Challenging holes, beautiful views, and outstanding staff make golfing at Palmetto Dunes what it is, so we interviewed one of longtime staff members, Stephen Arnold, to ask him what it’s been like working here for the past decade.
Q: What do you remember most from when you first started at Palmetto Dunes?
A: The drive in. The overwhelming beauty of the resort captivated me and made me feel welcomed.
Q: Are there any regular guests, residents, or visitors that you’ve come to know?
A: There are familiar faces that return each year. Sharing a smile each year with repeat guests lets me know we are doing something right.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about Palmetto Dunes?
A: When a guest takes the time to express their satisfaction with the resort it reminds me how lucky we are to live and work in such a community.
Q: How do you think Palmetto Dunes has changed or grown over the years?
A: Palmetto Dunes continues to focus on the guest and their experience while visiting the resort. By not being complacent or satisfied with the status quo, Palmetto Dunes is constantly looking to grow.
Q: Do you have a favorite memory or event from your time here?
A: All of the larger group outings. This gives us a stage to showcase our staff and facilities.
