50 Years of Holes-in-One!

Is there anything like the feeling of sinking a hole-in-one? Whether you’ve got beginner’s luck, or have been playing the game for years, there’s nothing like it. Over the past five decades, some lucky golfers have hit the big one, and we just had to celebrate their golfing success! Check out some hole-in-one photos from throughout the years.


George Fazio

Arguably our most challenging course, some call it the most difficult public golf course on Hilton Head Island! Hitting a hole-in-one while out on Fazio is an achievement indeed.

A fan favorite, the Arthur Hills course combines just enough challenge with stunning Lowcountry landscapes. It’s a joy to play and of course, feels incredible when you sink an ace!

Robert Trent Jones

The showstopper of Palmetto Dunes, the Robert Trent Jones course is a must-play for any golfer visiting Hilton Head Island. If you can stay focus amid the gorgeous ocean views, you might just get lucky with a hole-in-one.

Chad accomplished this on hole #5 at our Robert Trent Jones course while participating in the charity challenge which earned him a $2,500 Palmetto Dunes Resort gift card! Chad will be donating a portion of the gift card back to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry.

Kurt shared this incredible memory with us: “My hole in one on #17 at the Trent Jones course in the practice round prior to the member guest tournament this past January. My mom and dad are winter residents at Palmetto Dunes and I enjoy coming down from Augusta and playing in the member guest with my dad's friends from NY (Terry) and OH (Ed) who also stay in PD for the winter.”
